BB Radio, a time-stamp and a mark that will exist forever in CS History. BB launched into the game as a pure-hearted lover of music and true sonic connoisseur. His love for music and the culture allowed him to draw many inspirations and begin to blend them into mixes that were often times the soundtracks to many of our lives. These mixes not only infused music but soul. BB found his first form of poetry in which is his words would write themselves.
Shortly after the in-house/local success and the heartfelt reception from BB’s Mixes, came the beginning of ‘Flavas with BB’. A live weekly radio show @ 9 PM on Friday’s that was broadcasted on insanityradio.com. ‘Flavas with BB’ was a pre-game vibe that made waves throughout Egham where BB resided during his short-lived Flavas run. The words less is more ring true in this case because for the CS family this period of time will always be nostalgic and represent a moment in time that birthed many of the ideas and dreams that are being carried out by CS today. The freedom that is often times seen as naivety when you are young that fueled many of the escapades that we embarked on. We might all have a love-hate relationship with the internet, but one thing the internet allowed us to do was document these special moments and fortunately for anyone who didn’t get to experience BB’s mixes or ‘Flavas With BB’ first-hand luckily these moments are documented on Soundcloud. Artist of our generation will forever be indebted to SoundCloud. There truly was no space like it at one point!
